Mixed Media Canvas - LOVE

Happy New Year everyone! May 2015 bring you lots of happiness and good health :)

2014 has been a great year for me from joining Scrapbooking challenges (count my blessings to have some of my submissions featured); to be in the same team as some scrapbook designers whom I have been following (Awesome to be rubbing shoulders with very talented crafters) and lastly to be part of SG50 baby project. Yay!

So this week it's my turn to be featured on Made With Love's blog. I have altered a 6"x8" canvas in my usual shabby chic style using lots of Prima.....one of my favourite brand :)

Background was created using Prima Color Bloom Spray, Tim Holtz Stencil, Prima Texture Paste, Ranger Distress Ink Pad, Staz On Ink Pad

Here are some close up pictures with brief explanations on the mediums used .....

Stamped the LOVE word from Dylusion stamp onto a piece of scrap paper.

Trim it down to a good size to be a backing on the Prima Ornate Frame Resin. 

The scrap piece has been given a slight touch of shimmer with Tattered Angel Glimmer Glaze. Lightly dab Delicata Gold ink pad onto the resin to give it a touch of class.

Prima white flowers has been colored with Prima Color Bloom Spray using a fine tip paint brush.

Prima beads and mica flakes have been added to the centre of the flower. 

Gesso has been dabbed onto the flowers and leaves to added some prettiness. 

Netted fabric used to soften the overlay effect is actually an expired piece of medical gauze. 

Prima Crystal added some blings to the canvas, 

Sequins is from my own stash.

This pretty chipboard birdy is from Maya Road. 

I altered it with Gesso, Prima Color Bloom Spray, Tim Holtz Stampers Annonymous Stamp and 2 layers of UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel)
